Schools Diabetes and Epilepsy Information Briefing

This briefing is designed for all staff who work at a school with a student identified as having type 1 diabetes or epilepsy. The briefing is intended to give all staff some background knowledge about the condition, recognition of emergency situations and emergency management. 

Those staff with direct care responsibilities for identified students will need further Training on the students specific care plans and any emergency medications administration required. This briefing is not intended as a substitute for this higher level training.
